Helping

Others Grow

Through Loss

Grief is universal — yet every person experiences it differently.
When someone is hurting, we often want to help… but don’t know how.

• Research on grief is outdated
• Practical strategies for supporting others aren’t widely taught
• Every person responds to loss in their own unique way

This leaves social workers, coaches, pastors and community leaders without practical tools to help people navigate their loss.

At Build a Life After Loss our mission is to change that.

Sandy and Julie have spent years combining empirical research, personal experience, and real-world application to create a framework that changes how we understand healing after loss.

These principles help people move beyond simply surviving grief — and begin rebuilding a meaningful life after loss.

As part of my free training, we will review:

Why people get stuck in grief

I was where you are now...

I wasn’t always the owner of Build a Life After Loss.

I was just like you — searching for answers.

It was a season where everything felt fragile.
My dad had died. My daughter was sick.

Then my husband left.

I was barely holding myself together when my mom was diagnosed with cancer.

I found Build a Life After Loss — and Julie, the founder became my coach and friend.

She introduced me to the HOPE Model of Healing — and, for the first time, I understood how to move through grief… not just survive it.

In the years that followed, I faced more loss — my brother, and then my mother just months later.

But this time, I wasn’t alone. I had the tools. I had support.

Working with a grief coach didn’t just change my life — it helped save my relationship with my children and find myself!

I knew I had to help others find that same hope.

Since 2023, I’ve helped guide and mentor grief coaches inside this program.

And today, as the owner of Build a Life After Loss, I carry forward the work Julie began — å others heal, and equipping those called to guide them.

Sandy is both a compassionate and highly skilled educator in grief and post-loss transformation. The program was thoughtfully structured and generously resourced, providing meaningful tools for coaches who feel called to support others navigating their grief journeys.

Her warm, grounded, and engaging presence creates a learning environment that is both enriching and empowering.

I left the training with greater confidence in my work, a deeper appreciation for grief support, and the gift of a mentor who truly embodies the principles she teaches.

If you are considering training with Sandy in grief coaching, you will be deeply grateful for the experience.

Have you ever felt this way?

When I first started this work, I didn’t feel qualified to help others heal.

I had experienced my own loss…
but I didn’t feel prepared to guide someone else through theirs.

I questioned my abilities.
I wondered, can I really make a difference?

If you’ve ever felt this way — you’re not alone.

You may be more qualified than you think.

The truth is, you don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.

What matters most is:

• A deep desire to help others heal
• Personal experience with grief or loss
• A willingness to learn how to guide others with care and confidence

You don’t have to keep wondering if you’re “ready.”

You just need the right tools — and a path forward.

If you're ready to learn, the next step is simple...

You might be asking…

Am I in the right place?

If you feel called to help others through grief —
or you’re simply searching for better answers…

you are in the right place.

People are hurting — and too often, they don’t know where to turn.
What they’ve been taught about grief isn’t working.

You may not have all the answers yet — but you can.

You can offer something powerful: hope.
And hope is everything when it comes to healing.
